This unusual citrus is a cross between the Meyer lemon and a true lemon. The fruit resembles a lemon but is sweeter and less acidic. It can be eaten straight from the tree and is easy to peel and break into segments like an orange or mandarin.
Plant in a warm, wind-free, frost-free and well drained position in full sun. Water well during dry periods. Mulch the area to keep roots cool and to suppress weeds, leaving a 25mm gap around the trunk. Fertilise using a citrus fertiliser as directed.
